I have recently been working with a development company, Lumiaent.com designing applications for the iPhone, Blackberry Mobile, Windows Mobile, and Android enabled devices. This is within the Mobile Application Development and Design (MADD) segment of the company. Future participation with this company will be in wireless sensor design (specifically mesh topologies) for application in smart houses (CleverHaus division). CleverHaus not only installs systems, but also consults on ways to automate and view the home via remote applications and interfaces including hardware and software development. Smart energy utilization via wireless sensor technology is also a hot-product due to recent ecological preservation philosophies (i.e. the Green Revolution). Many states offer rebates on these home updates and some clients even find themselves producing enough energy to sell excess green energy back to the utility. On-site Infrared (IR) inspections for preventative maintenance as well as Radio Frequency (RF) audits for Link Budget, Noise Floor, and Free Space Loss calculations can be performed as well.
Several applications within the MADD sector of Lumia Enterprises involve the use of audio file formats designed specifically for collaboration between DJ’s. This is especially helpful when DJ partners’ homes are located in different cities, or even continents. User interface is simplified and streamlined with most logic being performed on the “cloud” contributing to much higher data throughput rates than possibly achieved by the on-board processor alone.
